YouTube Connect is a project that lets you control your YouTube experience with other devices.

YouTube Connect consists of a small Javascript application and an extension for the browser. The two pieces work together to enable you to do several things:

  • Modify the playback of videos you have played in the browser (Play, Pause, Stop, Next, Previous). 
  • Control the playback of videos on a connected device, such as a mobile device, tablet, or TV. 
  • Control the playback of playlists and channels 
  • Enable a connected device to view and search YouTube (i.e. enable the video to play on a device). 
  • Enable the remote control of playlists
